Final cut express transitions

I have taken a look at the transitions available to us. It includes effects like:
3D simulations
Dissolves
Iris's
Pagepeels
Slides
Stretches
Wipes
Fades

I think that we shouldn't use many transitions as it may start to look a bit over done especially in such a short film. Also with that in mind they should mainly remain short and simple to give it more of a professional look. Fades would suit this and possibly a dissolve.
It remains to discussed with the rest of the group.
