Lighting

For the introduction of the thriller when she is writing in her diary there will be a desk lamp which will light up the area which the camera will be focusing on while she sits in a dark room. This helps give the idea that is quite strange. Light will also be coming in from the window which the camera will zoom into to view the family in (hopefully) strong sunlight.

When it comes to the title where the mirror is show with the word 'masked' light be be shined onto it while being careful not to direct any light into the mirror otherwise we might get a flash back into the camera.

When the parents drop of the child and leave for the pub the lighting will be relatively bright. When they leave from the pub to there home it will be darker as we have filmed it at a later time in the day.

The lighting will be co ordinated with the time between the house scene and the walking between the pub. At the end the when they see the trashed room the room will have lighting on the child's toy that has been left behind to show the fact she is missing.
