Thriller Title Sequences

As research towards our own thriller films, we watched the title sequences from 'Seven', 'One Hour Photo' and 'Silence of the Lambs'. We found that the title sequence to seven was most effective, and provoked the best reaction in the class. It built suspense by not showing the face of the character fully, making the audience intrigued to the following events. The title is introduced by a metronome, which sounds a ticking noise, the rhythm adds to the tension.
